Hi All
Just wondering if anybody has had issues, or bad reactions, using a xylene based sealer(wickes patio sealer/thompsons)on Easyjoint pointing ? Also, would copious amounts of xylene sealer remover affect the bond between slabs and mortar bed, that is, cause the slabs to come loose ?
Thank you.

Xylene is known to adversely affect some of the one-part jointing compiunds, but it seems to vary from job to job. The two sealants you mention are amongst the worst known to man.

A xylene-based remover can't loosen flags *that have been properly laid*, that is, on a cement mortar bed and, preferably, with a bond bridge slurry primer.
