I was wondering (hoping) for some advice on paving. I have a small back yard which I would like to pave with recalimed York stone. I don't really know where to start! Should I find a builder first and then find the stone or VV? Also, can you recommend anywhere in the North East (Newcastle) where I could get some good quility stone at a reasonable price? Can you recommend who would be able to lay it?! Thank you in advance!
Hannah

I'd suggest you source the stone yourself. If you allow a contractor to source the stone, you risk having them buy the cheapest available to maximise their profit, whereas if you select the flagstones, you know they are just what you want.
It may be that Darco have the stone and are willing to lay it, but many other contractors will simply buy a pallet or two from their nearest yard, and tell you that you "get what you're given", which isn't necessarily the case.
