level had a fat max not worth a carrot use an ox now which seems ok, but I tend to buy a new level at the start of a big project as they can be abused

Our local BM had some coloured Hammerlin wheelbarrows a couple of years ago.
I sent the lads for a normal one and they came back with a Pink one ! Seemed to be made of plastic
The only problem was, I needed the new wheelbarrow for tarmac.
As we were short of barrows, we had to use the plastic pink one .
As you can imagine it didnt last long.
I wasnt too happy !!
Agree that Chillingtons are rubbish.
The large orange Belle barrows are expensive. I like them, but all my lads hate them. There is one sitting unloved in my store !
Up our way in West Cumbria, 2 local guys have set up a new company making wheelbarrows - 'The Multi Barrow Company'
I have tried one, but the balance is all wrong for me.
However, everything is bolted together, so you can just change the skip if required. They also do flat bed barrows and all other kinds.
If they changed the balance, they would be great.
I will stick to the green hammerlins. They are sturdy and well balanced

Has anyone ever had a refund or replacement on tools with 10 year or lifetime warranty.
I dropped a stabila level on its end, damaged end cap and some of the metal split meaning it couldn't sit as intended. Hadn't had it that long and took it back to B&Q where I got but they weren't interested as I couldn't produce receipt.
They said I could contact stabila myself but without receipt they wouldn't have to honour warranty.
I think a lot of these warranty's are given under the assumption nobody keeps a receipt long enough.

I'd love a Stabila 2m level for footpath service box setting purposes as a 1.8m one often isn't *just* long enough! Not cheap though!
