First patio - How much sand/cement do i need?

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi, I'm doing my first ever patio and have already hit an query which I've tried to find out an answer for.

The patio that I am laying is 2m x 2m and my friends have told me I will need to do a sand/cement mix to lay the slabs on. How much sand and cement should I order for my building suppliers for this. I think this question may have already been answered but I don't really know what information to put into the search for this so hopefully someone can help with an answer.
