Hi
I have a raised patio area made from block and beams, I would like to lay patio slabs over it, I am struggling to find out what base is needed to lay the slabs on and whether or not I need to cover the blocks and beams with a concrete sreed before the slabs....... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Ed

The usual procedure is to lay a DPM, then a concrete screed. The flags can be bedded directly onto the fresh concrete screed, or it is allowed to harden and then the flags are laid in the usual way onto a a mortar bed over the screed.
