Looking for help and advice please, I am slightly concerned...

Landscapers are to lay around 110sqm of silver grey granite, the 20mm thick variant. Approximately 30sqm has been laid so far on full beds of building sand / cement mix with sbr and cement mix applied to the back of the pavers before laying.

The problem is they are all patchy / damp looking with some dry and some very dark patches.

What are they doing wrong or is this normal and will they ‘dry’ out in time?

Thank you in advance

P.s grout gap is 2mm if that makes any difference at all

The building sand is wrong, for a start. Never, ever use building sand for bedding paving. And a 2mm joint? Why and what are they planning to use for the jointing?

That silver grey granite, known as G603, is notoriously porous, so you often do get damp patches showing when initially laid. These should dry out, except it's not really the drying-out time of year just now.

I'm afraid it really is a case of 'wait and see'.
