Has anyone got any suggestions on substances to fill a newly created flower bed?
The bed measures 25ft long by 1 ft wide and needs a depth of 30cm.
I've worked out that it needs about 3 tons of top soil ! and at £40 a ton it seems a waste as I'm only going to put some hardy type a bush or shrub in it as a border between two properties. And something that will help drainage.
So I'm looking for suggestions for something cheaper I can buy to fill the bottom, and then just have a layer of top soil above.
Flower bed filler !

Hi Tony,
I actully work in Warrington and live in Preston, so if you don't mind giving it away your offer sounds ideal and I have access to a transit!
Excuse my metric stupidity, but is that just under a ton of mature compost you've got then?
Just need a way of contacting you to arrange the collection.
THANKS VERY MUCH !
