I have the belle mini mix 140, the upright mixer with the wheel to turn the drum.
Today, half the cogs on the gear that turnd the drum sheared, so now the drum has a mind of its own when trying to fill a barrow.
rang for the spare part. belle tells me its not available on its own, i have to buy the complete thing, ring gear, pinion, etc etc. over £100plus postage.
I think i will buy a new mixer, as its getting on now anyway. Why show the part as seperate item on the spares list if its not available? sure its just a con to get you to buy stuff you dont need.
shame there is not a decent alternative to the belle on the market, otherwise i would buy it

The grouping of parts is a common ploy by manufacturers to maximise their earnings from spares whilst simplifying their stock room. Instead of having 100 parts in individual boxes, you have just 10 boxes with 5 to 15 parts in each box.
I needed a reflector bowl for the headlight on my bike, a simple bit of concave silvery plastic with a hole in the centre for the bulb. Got to cost less than a fiver to manufacture.
But no! I have to buy the whole feckin' headlight: outer chromed cowl, inner bowl, bulb, wires, retainer clips, lens, securing rim, fastener screws, support bracket and fixing bolts. Total cost almost 200 quid. This, allegedly, is "customer support".
My arse!
