Hi
Im looking to lay around 75m2 of Brazilian Grey Slate. Ive seen a few different prices per sq metre. My local supplier priced it at £33 per sq metre but I've seen it on Paving Stones direct for around £20 per sq m which is a significant difference.
Has anyone had any experience of using pavingstonesdirect?
Also any tips on laying would be appreciated. Ive already prepared the sub base.
Thanks
Brazilian grey slate

Never buy paving mail order. Always use a reputable local supplier. If there is a problem, you can get it sorted.
From experience when a customer has insisted he buys the slabs, they come on a tail lift lorry, dropped at the road side, half the pallet broken, misshapen slabs, discoloured and nothing like the pictures online.
Seeking replacements took weeks, and they werent much better.

If you mention to Landcsape World that you got their info from Pavingexpert.com they'll probabloy offer a trade discount - ask for Chris and tell him Tony recommended him to you.
While LW may not always be the cheapest - they have a real yard, employees earning a reasonable wage, stock to buy, and technical support to provide, none of which you get from an online supplier - the products they supply are always good quality and they are incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. The little bit extra that you may pay is, in my opinion, well worth iot for the security of knowing that they "will* exchange any damaged stock, they *will* advise on the best bedding and jointing, they *will* sell you odd ones and twos of items rather than insisting you buy a full pack, and they *will* still be there if you need any further assistance.
Online selling is all well and good when price is the sole consideration, but when you want guaranteed exchange, tech support and back-up, and a freindly face to help you out, you need a 'bricks & mortar' merchant, and there are few better than LW!
