Hi
Miss is adding stuff to already finished patio ;/
Now I'm adding a gazebo/awning and need to erect a wooden post in a middle of it.
Will use bolt down post support (this should be enough right?)

Question is, what drill bit to use on an indian sandstone?
I'd imagine normal masonry bit will not be sharp enough and hammer function is out of the question (possibly causing slabs to crack).

Can anyone recommend a drill bit to use please?
Diamond bits are around 20-30 quid and I read they can only go around 15mm (my sandstone is 22 calibrated). spending 30 quid to drill 4 holes is rather expensive investment.

Any recommendations appreciated

Thanks in advance

Matt

I'm not sure how hard the stone is but i should think an sds drill on slow speed should do it.
