Hello,

My patio was pointed yesterday with 4 : 1 sand and white cement mix via mortar gun.

I have woken to cement stains on the slabs. I have tried scrubbing them with a stiff brush and its not budging.

I have read castacrete's guidance tips and it says do not used acid based products on their slabs.

Can anyone recommend how I can get this off ?

Trying to upload a photo, many thanks

I've used diluted acid brick cleaner on my Indian sand stone to remove salt/cement stains that was caused by re-jointing, it completely removed the cement/salt but at the same time very slightly darkened the edge of the stone where I used it, but ONLY ON SOME of the slabs ?
Its like as if it depends on the colour of the stone.
My stones are a mixture of colours (Indian Raj Green), theres browns, greys & greens, all slightly different depth of colour, but many weren't affected at all by the acid.

I've seen products advertised online that say they will remove cement from natural stone without any adverse effect but I've not used any.

although it could be neater I would leave well alone, its by no means a horror show
good choice on kandla grey as it is low maintenance
if it was my patio I would leave well alone
(but I would have been a bit neater on the pointing ;-) )
cheers LLL

Just scrape off worst bits and as LLL says leave alone it will soon weather and not be as noticeable, and don't use acid.
