Installing channel drain

Hi,

I’ve just had my garden dug out in preparation for the paving. My question is do I do the channel drain before I lay the subbase down or do I do that first and dig through it.

I’m new to this and I’ve been told do the drains first but not sure if that before the subbase or before the flagging?

It’ll be running along my house but draining into the down pipe.

Do it first and you can use it for a line to work to. Remember to leave the concrete low enough for you paving, tarmac etc:
