Hi All,

newbie here, i decided to pull up my path and pull out the concrete edges, for what ever reason my wooden edges i wanted to put in look awful and uneven so i decided to get quotes, however our quotes bizarely range from £500-1600 just for edging in an 85 foot lenth 3 foot wide path, we have already bought the gravel to make a gravel path.

as you can imagine we dont want to pay £1k just for concrete edging and the lower quotes now say the job is to small.

i have decided to try and slab the path my self and use the gravel elsewhere, please see the pics attached, all the foundations seem their i.e sand etc, would it just be a case of hiring a compacter to flatten the area, am i able to use the sand etc what was holding the old path in place?

i have an idea how to lay a path every video i watch seem to do it different ways, could somebody point me in the right direction please?

when it comes to diy i am a complete newbie.

Thanks
