Soakaway - Replacing an old soakaway

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Has anyone got any top tips or good links on how to replace an old soakaway. It is from a gutter downpipe into a clay underground pipe and onto a stone / rubble soakaway.
I have dug up the old pipes and am left with the pit containing the rubble (the soakaway pit?)
Should I dig out the rubble and replace it with more rubble or a custom built soakaway?
What is the best sort of piping and drainage system to use at the bottom of the down pipe?
Where is the best place to buy the materials?
Luckily the soil offers good drainage, however, I suspect the pipes would silt up again if I do not put some sort of membrane around them and the soakaway pit.

Any help welcome!

Tony,
thanks for your friendly reply! :p
Does someone need a hug?

I did read the website and I was very impressed and found it particularly helpful, however I still had some questions....
I know I'm sounding like a biff, but I probably need leading by the hand through this!
Perhaps there is someone out there who has been through exactly the same situation and has some sage advice for a beginner like me.
There are all sorts of underground pipes I have been advised to use. Is it a case of you get what you pay for?
Should I plan to incorporate a rodding point?
Is all that really necessary when I am only dealing with the flow of one downpipe?
Give a fellow Liverpool supporter a break!

All the answers really are on the main website: type of pipe; use of envelope membrane; construction of soakaways... Red or not, I can't see the point in repeating what is already written.
