Hi! I've been avidly reading the various articles in preparation for re-laying our slate patio (it's been taken up due to bamboo rhizome damage).
With the current heatwave, I was wondering to use a moist or wet bed for the paving? I'd prefer to use a moist mix but was concerned that in this heat, at my potentially slow work rate (slower than a pro anyway) that a moist mix might dry out too quickly?
I plan on using a bond slurry - is this an absolute must with slates or just a very good idea?
