We have had some indian slate layed by our builder. I have enclosed some pictures of it but the slope for water drainage seems excessive. They said they were going to put some galvanised drainage channels in along the wall edge and take it to a drain. They have instead sloped the whole patio into one drain. In the photo i think it looks awful with such a slope angle against the house wall. Is it just me or is this the way its done?

In my opinion the main area starts ok but then the gradient is accelerated two slabs from the main drain then it starts to look excessive, not sure why this would be necessary as the fall on the rest of the patio would be enough.
The path in photo two looks excessive.
Worth checking the patio also falls away from the house so the water 'dishes' into that one drain. Not much point if it only tips in the direction shown in the photo's.
