Hi there,

I am laying a patio which is around 40m2, (180 450x450 slabs) as I work full time I am doing this in my spare time, roughly I am managing 12/20 per week, Although I’ve taken a week off work in a few weeks to try and get the majority done. Basically my question is should I be jointing as I go or wait until i’m fully finished. I imagine it would be best in an ideal world to joint all in one go but I’m worried about debri getting into the joints.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

Chris

it depends what you are jointing with Chrisy
if you are using a resin mortar you can do bits
but if its sand and cement it would be best to do it in 1 hit to avoid different batch colours
try and gauge the sand and cement if using that method so you get an even colour
