Hi guys,
I've recently received delivery of a patio pack (natural paving indian sandstone - promenade) however a large number of the flags had staining on the bottom edge. I spoke to the supplier who said this is unavoidable and it's from the pallets they get delivered in and will come off. I've had no joy removing this so far. Does anyone know if this will come off or do i need to be returning these?

I've attached a picture in case this helps - any advice would be much appreciated as i'm hoping to lay them this weekend.

Thanks

Hello there Mr Anderson. I thought I recognised that photo.

From your post above, this isn't quite what we advised - what we actually said was 'Looking at the marks, these appear to have predominantly been caused as a result of the wooden crate becoming wet. This can occasionally happen if rain has entered through the plastic wrap for example and will usually wash off. Do you know how many slabs appear to have been affected?'

After which we subsequently replaced the paving for you and it has already been signed for.

As you notified us on Friday and you already have replacements, I'm guessing you have the paving you need to continue laying the slabs this weekend.

We're here to help if you need any further assistance.

Regards,

George

Hi George,

Thanks for your note. Ok - the wooden crate becoming wet rather than the wooden crate itself. You mentioned that the stains would come off but i've been unable to get them off hence the question.

I've no issue with the fact you've kindly sent replacements which i'm very grateful for and will use this weekend.

I meant to say 'dispose' not 'return' as what i'm trying to work out is if the stains come out or not as otherwise i'll need to dispose of them at my own cost, if they do come out i might be able to keep them for a future project perhaps?

Just to reiterate George, i've no issue with the service you've provided or the replacements - i actually thought your service was very good and no quibble which i'm grateful for hence me not saying anything negative about PavingSuperstore. I'm actually just after advice to see if there is any way these will actually come off with a special cleaner or do i need to cart them all to the tip?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks
Graham

I've spoken with Natural Paving and if it's any help, we can send you a free sample of the Pavetuf deep clean and Pavetuf green off algae remover products as it may be worth testing these.

George

in business when things go right everyone looks good
but to my mind when things go slightly askew is when you find out what people are really about
London stone always step up and correct things if they are wrong, and I am impressed that paving superstore have the same customer service ethos :)

Gando the stone is very old ,and I cannot imagine anything staining what looks like Kandla grey for long, I am sure someobody will give you a good drink for them for some utility paving

Yes, i cant fault PavingSuperstore - the price was also very competitive too. No stress and quick delivery.

As i said, no issues with PavingSuperstore at all, i was just trying to work out what to do with the stained ones but it sounds like they'll be able to be sorted. Looking forward to that good drink!
