Does this sub-base look ok?

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi,

I have posted previously about an ongoing issue I am trying to resolve with the builder who laid my patio – all the paving slabs are loose. We have now got to small claims. The patio was extended and I have found some photos we took during construction that show the sub-base of the extension.

Type 1 MOT was then whacked on top of this.

I wouldn’t have expected to see all the grass and earth in there? Does this look OK as a base?

no
no organic material should be left as it will rot
at the bare minimum the grass should have been removed
Personally I would have removed all topsoil inside the block wall, and this is why my patios end up more expensive than others <exasperated sigh>
LLL :(
"what,you want paying today??"
