Last year my neigbour had a new path laid, new on top of old paving plus new paving up against the housewall. Our houses are attached and our gardens are open plan with no dividing wall. A short while after the work was done, her front path area was flooded each time it rained and the paver came back and put in a linear drain which took most of the water from the path. Since then her garden has become waterlogged in the final 1/3 near the house, (there is a slight slope) but this year, the waterlogging in my garden is significant, my windowcleaner has to allow for the loss of 6 inches of ladder due to the mud, my grass has mostly changed to moss, and most worrying my flowerbed next to my house wall is sitting in inches of water after the smallest rainfall. I rang my insurance company who say I should call an engineer as they cannot pay out on a claim when I do not know what is causing it and only surmising. After all that, the main question is. What kind of engineer do I call out, and have you any contacts in the Liverpool/West Lancs area that would undertake an assessment of whats happening under the MOSSGRASS! Thanks, Diva
