Just a very quick question. Is there a good reason for using Plasticiser with a moist mix (rather than a wet mix). Just wondering if it will increase it's workability while still remaining relatively dry leaving a fairly solid working surface when laying, or am i taking away the advantages of a moist mix?

You'll also find that it's a bit easier to settle flags onto a moist mix bed when it's been prepared using a plasticiser. It does what it says: it plasticises, making the mortar more fluid, easier to move, easier to spread.
Try it for yourself. Try an unplasticised mortar. See how awkward it is to handle, how it falls apart when moved, how it's harder to squeeze and therefore harder to lay onto. You'll soon be back on a plasticised mortar!
