Yes, frost here this morning, started on the front today and yes put the hessian on tonight

Thanks, thought I would use feather edge. Could of maybe had oak returning back, but I didn't like the idea of brickwork on top of timber + its cheaper

How are bottom of oak posts held in place?

The quoins are drilled and the oak 20 mm stainless steel rods inserted about 6. The quoins have been in situ since I concreted the slab. The quoins were 40 each and the oak was 1k, stainless 14. So not bad price

I got the quoins delivered from Yorkshire with the walling stone I'm using on another on going project.

glad your got the brickwork done before the heavy ice
are you doing trad or dry ridge on the roof?
trad will look better but i love no cement roofs for endurance
