Hi, We've just bought a house with a spring pouring into the back garden in a couple of places and we think an underwater spring too. Previous owners appear to have tried to solve the drainage problem with a french drain but more drastic measures are needed. Any ideas on what we could do ourselves and what other information you'd need from me. Can you suggest any companies we could contact for help in the Southampton area? ???

Where does the existing french drain discharge to? A watercourse, sewer system....? Or does it just flood your garden?

You could also get the spring water tested for quality. If it's drinkable....bottle it and sell it to yuppies with more money than sense! :D
