Hi,

Can you just confirm that I have my plans correct before I set off into the unknown? Probably using Indian paving with a stone circle in the middle.
1. Roughly sort out base level (Mostly stones and hardcore rubbish left by the builders pulled from the garden) with a 1:60 fall away from house.
2. Whack down the base with a flattening plate.
3. Mix 10:1 sharp sand and Portland cement for more accurate 1:60 fall. Smooth out, and whack down again. Allow to set.
4. Mix 1:4 mortar mix (Black mortar) with builders sand, and lay as full bed, lay flags on top as I go. Ensure straight, and following pre-set building string to check fall. Allow to set.
5. Point the flags
6. Seal the patio
7. Sit back with a beer and enjoy my new patio.

Thanks
Paul :D
