8mx7m block paving drive. how much sand?

the site calculator asks for compacted depth (40mm) and says i need 4 tons of sharp sand for 7mx8m.

But other site calculators ask for actual sand depth.
60mm (before compacting), and they say 7 tons.

I've shovelled out 4 tons already from jumbo bags in my works van.

Can anyone confirm what I actually need?

To which site calculators are you referring?

There's only one on this site that determines bedding sand quantity for block paving.

thanks, my backs killing me, so only one more to get

PS: the other calculators were just sand suppliers from google who were not talking about compacted sand
