Got my garden all ready for a new patio to be laid and trying to find slabs for the job.

Got brochures from some of the big manufacturers and looked at lots of stuff online but really want to see what we're going to buy in the 'flesh'.

Trouble is finding places that have decent display areas, especially with the type of slabs i'm looking for... so far i know we want something with a pretty flat/level finish (doesn't have to be honed but definitely not heavily riven) and in a light grey colour without too much colour variation in a pack.

I've been to Cartmore in Falkirk and Roweb in Glasgow and they were both good but most of what they have isn't in the right colours so i'm looking for suggestions of other suppliers that might be worth a visit please?

happy to drive anywhere in central Scotland - i know there are loads of building supplies companies but it's hard to tell which ones have good display areas and while i'm happy to drive places i'd rather not have wasted trips!

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I should add that if anyone can recommend a contractor to lay the patio and build a few retaining walls and steps, that would be much appreciated too. Cheers/
