Conservatory on stilts!

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

This may sound insane on first glance, but after looking into the costs, potential problems and home disruption associated with pouring a solid concrete slab for my conservatory (4m x 3m) - I have come up with a cunning plan!
I wondered if it would be possible to put great big posts into the ground (concreted in) and build up a frame from that. Double or triple tanalised joists, coach-bolted together, around the outside to support the conservatory itself, and then a normal joist setup for the inner floor bit. It would be like a very beefy raised-decking job in my mind.
Any ideas or suggestions?

You think it would work? I know that durabases are welded steel and so are stronger, but with beefy timbers, could I do it?
I realise no-ones gonna have had first hand experience of this, but I'd value any opinions guys...

It's possible, but you would have to get it designed by a structural engineer and then have it approved by your BCO and/or your mortgage company as it is not a straightforward structure.

My gues is that it would be even more expensive and more time-consuming than a simple concrete base.
