Laid a patio last week. Birds crapped all over it. Sent someone there today with a little portal jetwasher to blast it off. It's clearly stained.
I have a 4000psi jetwasher but feel that it's not going to make much difference. Never had this happen before.
Anyone know whether strong bleach and jetwashing will work or any other methods?
Obviously I'm going to recommend sealing it after its dried out and perhaps tarpualing it while it dries but this is not my area. Not sure what to advise to the customer really.
Sandstone usually cleans off quite nicely so I said it shouldn't need sealing.. Now I'm feeling responsible so I'm at least going to get at clean again

Read about bird shite. Apparantly birds don't produce urine, it comes out mixed in the bird shit as uric acid, that's why it eats away at paintwork etc: all seem to recommed same treatment...soak, then clean with detergent. I would tell your client it is their responsibility, otherwise you'll leave yourself wide open for repeat visits.

You should be able to remove the bird poo stains with my mix that is on the stain removal's page, it's alkaline based so neutralises the acidic poo, sandstone is usually easy to get these off of, worst seems to be Magpie crap, esp when on Limestone, sometimes left with a permanent mark, though they can be got out, with either grinding or re-honning depends on the surface etc.
