One side of my front garden is flagged and the other is soil.
I want to use the 'soil' part (approx 17ft x 16ft) for parking my car.

I have removed the soil to a depth of about 8 inches and revealed a fairly solid base of what looks like old bricks and broken flags.

I would like to know what is the best material to use to fill the hole that would withstand the weight of a family saloon.

I am looking for a gravel effect area and am aware that I may need to hire a vibrating plate to compact the material.

Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Ian.
