Wobbly blocks

Another massive fan of the site here!

Layed my driveway last summer so its only been down around 7 months. Used stonemarket drivestone paviors which are a tumbled slightly irregularly shaped stone. I followed the instructions on this site and the manufacturer's explicitly and encountered no seroius problems when laying the drive, apart from getting a little 'dig happy' with the mini jcb at times! My problem is that ever since the blocks went down, and despite laying them finger tight, as recommended, they've never really been 100% wobbleless. the drive looks solid and is fine to walk/drive on, but especially with the larger blocks its possible to hold one side, bash the opposite end and feel some movement there.

I used copious amounts of fine kiln dried sand and have kept it topped up religiously seen installing it but this doesn't seem to prevent the movement. In one very small area i'm detecting a hint of subsidence and am at my wits end.

I really just wondered if anyone had come across this at all, especially with this choice of block. i initially put it down to the irregular shapes of block and thought that as the drive settled it would right itself?!

The best idea i had was using something like "classico chippings" to help reinforce that larger gaps that present. The gaps certainly appear bigger than those found in a more standard block despite the blocks touching and lining up with the protrubaces offset (minimising the gap).

Any experience or wisdom would be greatly appreciated as i'm really not overly keen on relaying the dam thing!!!

I was looking at a section of those "Elegance" pavers yesterday and they were just the same: loose and slightly wobbly, but I put it down to them being laid only a couple of weeks ago. However, the contractor reckons it's a regular issue and is planning to re-joint using the bloody awful GeoFix rubbish. Hopefully, I've talked him out of that and persuaded him to consider using a spcific type of self-binding limestone dust that is very dark in colour, very gritty in texture, and sets quite firmly after a couple of weeks in the open.

It'd be interesting to hear if anyone else has encountered problems with these products and what solutions they've tried.
