Would never have another ifor. Not built anywhere near as well as they used to be, plus the hitch they fit can be smashed open in seconds with a crowbar.
one bit of advice, buy a wireless kit for the tipper. I even converted my truck to wireless tipping, much easier

Don't buy the tipper trailer wireless tipping kit in eBay search for wireless winch its the same and a fraction of the cost straight forward to wire an let's you operate the tipping function without using the wired wand. Been meaning to get one for mine but mine does not have a battery cut off switch/isolator so would need ti fit one of them aswell

I paid £30 for three kits, each kit comes with a key fob remote, plus a normal size remote, all the batteries. You just need a waterproof box to stick the gubbins in if fitting it outside on the trailerForestboy1978 wrote:Can't see how I'd ever have a reason to sell it so not fussed about depreciation.
Wireless tipping? How easy and costly is that to fit?

Trailer arrived last night. Used it today quite a bit loaded with approx 2 tons of dirt and machinery. Did lots of motorway miles loaded and empty. Really happy so far.
Haven't adjusted it to tip sideways yet and I doubt that'll happen often. Not sure how long it'd take to set up. Guessing 2- 5 mins but not sure yet.
Can't tell I'm towing it at all when it's empty.

Cheers Tony. Yeah it will easily in time and money. With that large van and trailer I can move a serious amount of kit to and from any job. Probably everything I own almost, not including plant at the same time.
New problems arise though... Can't park it at my house. Have to park it about 30 meters away next to a walkway.
Last night I watched from the bedroom window as some lads walked up to the back of it and I heard one say "Oh he has locked it" referring to my Bell wheelbarrow in the back. And this morning one of the rear door clips was opened by someone. Honestly ******g pricks.
I've ordered small GPS stickers for the windows of the van and a flashing red LED. May invest in something more secure like an actual GPS or CCTV but I'm totally skint at the moment and will be for a couple of months...
