never been keen on decking but after today I may never even set foot on it again I was cutting a hedge next thing I know im about 2 foot lower down than I was been aching ever since it happened an I didn't finish the hedge either lol :p :p just glad it wasn't my 91 year old customer although I might weigh a bit more than her
we have some rotten decking to remove in july and replace with a raised patio
I told him 4 years ago but he knew best and had it installed
rotten as a peach now
LLL
I've said it umpteen times before but whenever I'm asked to suggest the best treatment for decking I always recommend a gallon of red diesel and a match.
I've done a few decking jobs but it's not something I'm overly familiar with and I'm not a fan either but...
Surely, a hardwood decking installed properly and treated regularly with preservative and a bi annual bleach should last damn ages right? I would have thought so anyway..
I mention it cos I viewed a ridulous job the other day on a steep hill and only access was through the house (which had numerous turns) Couldn't get fence posts round the corners so it had to all go over the house. Obviously I said no. But for a garden like that you'd have to use decking really I was thinking.
