Hi,

I've brought some similar sandstone slabs to these: https://www.pavingsuperstore.co.uk/natural....bs.html

I want to find some low sheen sealant as they look a lot better when wet. I've seen some gloss/wet looking sealants, but would prefer a matt/low sheen finish.

I've read all the info on this excellent site but the recommendations don't match what I'm looking for:

For porous natural stone
Dry Treat (neutral)
Weiss StainProtect Profi (neutral)
Lithofin MN StainStop (matt/ barely damp look)
ProtectGuard WL (wet look)

I brought a 1l tin of Lithofin and tried it out on an offcut, but although it sealed well, it left the stone looking exactly the same as the untreated half, as opposed to matt.

I'm not sure about ProtectGuard as I don't want wet look

Any recommendations?
Simon

Would you like us to send you a free sample of the Pavetuf satin sealant? This is produced on behalf of Natural Paving and is therefore the product recommended by the manufacturer of your paving.

Kind regards,

George
