Loads little black marks on paving

block paving laid some 5 years ago
sealed with Resiblock and sealed again months later
pretty sure all that did was bind the sand as it sure never seemed to protect the pavers
they have been pressure washed every year till last year when pressure washer broke ...done again now and resanded
loads and loads of little black algae / mould marks over them
have tried pouring bleach on the pavers but to little effect
ideas please
