Just wanted to say hello and a brief intro. Qualified as a bricky but only really done stone work and paving. Having done pretty much anything and everything work wise to get through the recession the last couple of years im currently in the process of setting up on my own (again) as things seem to be picking up. Yep, Im about 2 mins from tobermore. Near enough to skerries and malahide which are nice enough parts off the country.
Its Donegal sandstone, ill be buying through my own supplier, a fella in meath, but im pretty sure it wil be sourced from McMonagle.
The job itself is up the North, about 1:40 mins drive so. looks ill be staying up there monday to friday !!

Had to think for a minute. Nope not Timmy, but have done jobs for people who got their stuff off him, I deal with a different company.
Just back from the accountants, have the ball rolling in getting registered again, going to stick with it this time around, have a part time job doing industrial cleaning which is generly weekend work so leaves me free to do me own thing monday to friday, and helps take the pressure off financially.
Very intresting reading back through some older threads and seeing others in the business having identical problems/issues that Ive encountered, ie pricing, weather to hire people or not etc etc. I suppose its kind of reassuring in a shared grief kind of way that im far from the only one with these headaches.
Anyway, heres a few pics from some previous work, some from a garden designer I used to work for (long time ago) . All the hard landscaping/stone/brick/paving + lawns would be my handy work, plants are none of my business and I prefare to keep it that way.
I cringe a little at some of the pics of the older jobs, all I spot is the mistakes, long running joints and cross joints etc. Everyday is a school day though, never stop learning.
