As in the title, when you have to run an edge course along concrete fencing gravel boards, should they be placed right up to the boards or is it acceptable to have them a few mm off them and the semi dry mix used to fill the gap. As my gravel boards are profiled and not flat, a fair bit of cutting of the blocks would be required if I want them right up to the boards and it would be easier the other way. Thanks. John.

Offset them the width of the posts and infill with gravel.
