Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

i have been approached by a client who has a particular problem regarding contamination on a french limestone slabbed patio,contractors who built a steel canopy over the patio used a grinder during construction as a result swarf became embedded in the slabs and consequently rust spots have appeared, any advice and solutions appreciated

Photos would help if you could upload some, but depending on the damage, it might not be reversible
