Hi everybody ,
Been paving the past 20 yrs of which the last 2 havebeen spent sub-contracting out my own gang . Prices were generally not great , £4-5 per m2 laying to slabbing at £5-6.
After a good days graft the figures just don't make it pay having paid fuel , wages etc . obviously middlemen taking their cut didn't help !
My problem being is I have absolutely no idea what the going rate is if I was to approach firms on a direct basis . I've been given an opportunity to block pave a couple of roads and a large car park and just wondered if any of you guys could be of assistance ?

Thanks

Who were you subbing off fletch?
Sounds similar to the rates I got as a subby.
£10m2 on 200x100 or £12 on rumbled.
If the slabs are on sand £20 full bed £40.
You might get more if you push it.
