Hi All,

4 years ago my Mum had a new patio laid.
Over the last month the slabs have started to crack, almost flake.

The slabs were not cheap they are the Brett brand.

I have pictures and will try to upload.

My questions are,
Is this to be expected?
What could have caused it?
Has anyone had a similar experience and did you get replacements?

Thank you for reading

I'm not entirely sure. From what I can see it looks like a hardcore base with a sand cement scree over the top.

Agree with LLL, would be worth pulling one slab up and see if it is a full bed or if they have laid on the dreaded 5 spots as we see so often
