Longevity: weatherpoint vs easyjoint vs mortar??

Been looking at the brush in type products and as Geofix seems to get a bit of a panning in some places as it appears it only bonds to itself, these two seem to be the main contenders but wondering what experiences people have had with them in terms of how long they actually last without cracking? Also, I've obviously put mortar as a comparison as well, out of fairness as an almost standard to go against.

I know mortar is a lot more time consuming to put in, but if it completely outlasts the tub stuffs then it's a bit of a false economy as you'll only be raking it out again later, so want to get a fair representation if possible.

Hi got a job to do tomorrow yes sunday aargh .its pointing with weather point . It's quick it's fast and clean . Does it look as good as mortar pointed slabs ,not in the same league . On the does it last point . The house where I'm working tomorrow had a large patio laid a while back and finished with weather point that's why we are using it tomorrow lady requested it .on the original patio it looks fine , none come out or come loose.

You should at a push be able to get weatherpoint for £30+vat. Another good product and similar to weatherpoint is "Rompox easy" and £25+vat is achievable.
Personally I couldn't distinguish between the two in terms of quality. Have used both over a similar period of time and no complaints as yet. Just depends what is available in your area.

You have considered a very narrow range of products and are making sweeping generalisations based on just two of them.

In answer to your question

Previous formulas of EASYJoint have outlasted mortar equivalents, the original formula used across Northern Europe has been known to last 20 years so it's pretty durable stuff.

Every site is different so we can't give specific figures or estimations. We are confident that correct application of the product will result in excellent long lasting results.

Never used any other product but different variants of sand and cement myself , for me the brush in products from what I have seem give a poor visual finish , cant comment on how they last ,
plastering sand mixed with red building sand with sbr seems to be working best for me at moment

looked through your photos JD some tidy stuff there, you seem to do a lot of relays
I avoid these like the plague ,as never sure whats underneath
