Laying my first patio on saturday, and all my sandstone is gonna have hangovers all the way around, and therefore a jointing gap between each slab which will run over the edge also, so what's the best way of jointing it once it's ready for it?

Initially I was thinking of using a polymetric, but I didn't get much response to people's opinions of the ones I was looking at so I think I'm gonna just go sand & cement and take my time (I find grouting my bathroom quite relaxing anyway, so time's not a problem!), Either way, would I be right in thinking that S&C would probably be easier as it's gonna be pushed in all the way around,... I just can't see how you can use the wet brush on stuff without it all just running away unless you use a bung on every single gap?

Thoughts??

Duck tape is the weapon of choice for most.

Ah, gotcha,... and can get as much as I need for free from work! :D

Do I presume you just run the tape up into the join so that whatever you use it just stops when it gets to it and when set and taken away it leaves the joint flush with the edge it's overhanging?

Get gorilla tape, it sticks to anythings and that will cover the underside of the joint and up the front side. Or failing that get some sika flex pu adhesive and seal the underside joint and end with a thin bead of that.

I prefer the pu adhesive, very sticky stuff.
