Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I'm a DIYer looking for some advice hopefully...
I've got a large driveway area indian stone lay on a concrete bed, the joiints were pointed with 'pave fix plus'. I now realise this was a bad move for my application, the 'pave fix' joint material is relatively soft and weak and not suitable for driving on (in my experiance).
So, I've got some flags coming loose. The bed is solid and recent (3 months ago), but the cars turning on the flags is working them loose (I think the tortion effect of wheels + weaker joints?).
Can I "stick" the loose flags to the existing sound base using a slurry primer mix (SBR/Cement), and then re-point using morter?
Any advice very much appreciated.
Thanks
Rob

You can try sticking the flags back down but you'll need to be neat and clean it perfectly to have a chance, otherwise its relaying.
As for repointing then yes use something better but i doubt that it was the jointing alone causing your problems, I would guess the flags are perhaps moving slightly because of settlement due to inadequate sub base or poor bedding.
Flags and driveways are just a problematic combination.
