Block paving for me is the best earner with the least hassle.
I don't think it's the best value for the customer. CPB has got a 10 year life before it needs replacing.
A good natural stone drive is there till you get bored, or die.

That's true. Especially for the people that are completely renovating.
By the time they get round to the gardens money's low.
I had one bloke show me the wet room in a bungalow he'd renovated for his elderly mother in law and he was boasting about the shower head head he spent a grand on only to start trying to knock me down when I told him the patio he wanted would cost him 3 grand

Going back a few years a customer mentioned to me "when pricing the job, remember there's a recession on".
Just as I was finishing the job at the beginning of March he turns up in a brand new SLK.

I didn't take the recession into account, I knew I'd get the job anyway. I've done work for him before and since.
He's a tidy guy and gave me and the lads a nice bonus.
It just pissed me off that he said that and then turns up in a new Merc.

Someone said to me once "buyers are liars".
Cheers

Every customer and his dog tried it on in recession time.
There are plenty of neglected gardens due to that recession that need attending to now it's over though :)
