Customer was very very good about it. Particularly as he's rich and runs his business from home and phone and broadband comes through the same cable. Will be without both till Friday.

Nice guy, I felt bad about it but my bro just didn't see the line in the hedge.

Any idea what it's gonna cost us?

Should have just joined it back up near enough 90% of cable in gardens is just coaxial and normal phone wires so as long as you join the telephone wires to the same colour and connect the copper and earth on the coax cable it will work till it can be replaced.
Not sure on costs to get replaced virgin tend to put as little as possible let effort to bury cables must be on the basis of cheaper to replace cable than pay to put it to a decent depth

I considered that option but it was 25 ft off the ground under tension spanning across a public road.

I bet it costs £500 or something stupid...

I've fixed loads amazing what a 9 ton tractor at 20mph does to them when they're low across a field :)

Strip it back make a loop in the copper hook the other copper through it windlass it round bind up with insulation tape job done.

Also moved a pole once that was in the way

Bt are pretty good normally they'll run a new cable not like the gas and electric lads :p

Think there is a minimum height the cables are meant to be possibly free replacement if below that height
