Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

I have a series of Concrete steps up to the house that are in urgent need of repair. So I thought I'd cover them over in tiles or small flags approx. 150X150 in size and I saw some in Homebase "Mellow Terracota" that would do the job. Management has intervened and does not like the colour so I was looking for other places to buy tiles/flags. I've looked in the usual places DIY stores, Jewson's etc but they just seem to have larger 400X400 slabs and a much more limited selection of smaller tiles/flags and usually with a rough pattern on. I don't want anything too thick as the concete steps are already in place and substantial and I don't want to knock them down. Is there somewhere else I should be going to look? For example do Tile Shops do external tiles? I can't google a reasonable answer to "flags for steps"!

I'll post an image tomorrow if I can work No. 2 sons digital camera!

Try a tile specialist, such as Topps, or even a manufacturer such as Dennis of Ruabon - they make all sorts of quarry tiles.

At a push, there's nowt to stop you using 25mm Indian sandstone flags, if the management approves.
