I've done a bit of rendering on some block work I put up on my display area.
I'm the world's worst bricklayer and this is my first attempt at rendering.
It doesn't look awful but it's not perfect.
I'm wishing I used through render rather than sand and cement.
Here's a picture.
I'm not sure on weather to rip the render off and start again with through render.
Try and apply another thin coat of sand and cement render to flatten it off a bit better then paint it or coat it with sbr and try and make good with a thin coat of tyrolean and pray it sticks.
Thoughts and advice please?
I'very just been and checked up on it Mark and it doesn't look that bad.
Nice one for the compliments on the paving.
There's going to be a 3m glass top on it that reaches over to the end of the raised paved area.
Idea is from the lower level at the back you its a nice hight to put a drink on whilst standing and it'll be a nice hight for eating of whilst sitting on the raised area.
I just hope it looks nice when it's finished.
you could clad it with stone cladding,cant remember the proper name
the rendering looks fine mate,but never been a fan of it
painting etc requires maintenance

I don't want it to be a sign board and I was thinking about cladding it with the same stone as the paving but render seems to be the in thing in contemporary gardens.
