Have seen it done on grand designs. It looked fantastic when it was all polished, but they never revealed the exact process. Had glass in it if I recall

this is the video i used minus the sprayer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG0F7Qe4MzM

plunge saw for shutters

Image

this is the first one before the poly fibres had arrived

Image

white spa aggregate in it so we can grind it back

Image

battery akita poker let me down so had to try using hand sander to vibrate it

first go

Image

wonderfuly smooth but some cavities in it but my mates mrs loves it says it adds to the industrial charm, i wasn't best pleased with it

Image

Image

going to get some clear resin off my mate and fill in the voids and seal it, made a test piece tonight to try them out

also ordered a wet grinder to take it back if we need to and then fill with a cement slurry if they want perfectly smooth

using the conti board the concerte is very smooth but got 50-6000 grit diamond pads

fitting apiece of wood in-between as a contrast, picking that up tomorrow and wet grinder has arrived so can grind them back tomorrow.

although rubber backer pad won't thread onto spindle :( didn't expect much for £140 though!

got few phone calls into sealant companies looking for a good sealant thats not irritant or toxic!
