Hi all hope your all well and a happy new year just wondering who on here is going to the Marshall's awards this year we have been lucky enough to win 2 regional awards so we are going, really looking forward to it, don't think we will win anything but just looking forward to a good evening + the bars free :p

Hi Luton don't feel were in the running after seeing the standard of work in the awards but it will inspire me to raise the bar once again, must say lots of very nice looking vitrified work, we laid some in December very nice to work with and I do feel it will be the next big thing in the world of paving.

I got four regional's this year but probably due to lack of other entries and being the only one to enter some categories.

I think it makes four of us from the Welsh contingent and looking forward to it.

Like Pete, don't think I'll win anything judging by what I've see from the entries but should be a good night.

The awards were held Friday before last. Well done to Marshalls for putting everyone up in the beautiful Oulton Hall Hotel and for footing the bar bill.
Kevin Keegan was the guest speaker and presenter of the awards. Very entertaining man and fairplay spoke a little bit of Welsh to me, luckily they were the same phrases that I know':)'

Congrats to the overall winner for their superb project using the vitrified. Managed to pick up a highly commended award myself for best use of ethically sourced natural products. Pics below.

Tried looking out for Mick to say hello, sure he was there but couldn't spot him. Maybe the images he uses of himself are from when he was a younger man

I saw you walk up onto the stage for your award, I was sat at the front right hand side then got into deep conversation with lots of people, we were last in the bar and got asked to leave at 4am so I have no idea where everyone else went

it was a phenomenal evening and Kevin Keegan was fantastic

Having consumed to many Desperados which were freely available I think I crawled to bed about 12.30.
