I do apologise if I am in the wrong website.
We have discovered terracotta tiles under a carpet which my wife prefers to the carpet.
They are mostly covered in a clear dry carpet glue, I have been advised to use brick acid to get rid of the glue,would you agree?

No don't use or do that !!!! You need a product from Owatrol called DSP 800, do a google search and it should come up.
