Can anyone help?
I have a garden wall which shores up and separates two lawns at different heights. The wall is level with the upper lawn and is topped with local slate tiles.
The tiles have all lifted & I have had them re laid - at least twice .
Matters are not helped by frequent foot-fall of children running from one to other lawns.
I need advice on which mix to use to fix the tiles and would be grateful for any other tips. For example, I have scored them and cleaned them as best possible: - does it matter that they still have traces of old mortar on them?
Thanks.
Sslate tiles keep lifting - Tips please - and which mortar to use?
